Bee Pay: Compliant Escrow & Payment Servicing

Bee Pay holds consumer payments in trust for businesses that cannot legally charge a fee until the work is done — and a sister product of MCA Verify under Unity FI Solutions. Formerly Payment Automation Network.

What is Bee Pay?

Bee Pay is an escrow and payment servicing provider for performance-based consumer services — debt settlement, debt validation, credit repair, student loan document preparation, tax resolution and timeshare cancellation. It drafts the consumer’s payment on schedule, holds the funds in a trust account the provider does not own or control, and disburses the fee once the work is complete.

Bee Pay is the new name for Payment Automation Network, Inc. and is operated by Unity FI Solutions LLC of Charlotte, NC — the same company behind MCA Verify. Visit GoBeePay.com to learn more or request pricing.

Why this matters when you underwrite

If a debt relief or credit repair company comes across your desk, its bank statements will not look like a normal applicant’s — and reading them as though they do will give you the wrong answer.

  • Deposits understate the book — gross consumer payments never touch the operating account, so a firm servicing thousands of enrolled consumers can show modest deposits.
  • Deposits are concentrated — disbursements arrive from one servicer on a predictable cycle rather than as many small customer payments.
  • Consumer-side returns are invisible — NSFs hit the trust account, not the operating statement, so true collection performance is not in the file.
  • Revenue lags enrollment — fees are earned only as settlements complete, so a fast-growing firm can look flat for months.

A provider using a recognised third-party servicer is generally a positive signal: it means the advance-fee structure is handled properly, which is the compliance risk most likely to end that business abruptly.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bee Pay related to MCA Verify?
Yes. Bee Pay and MCA Verify are both products of Unity FI Solutions LLC in Charlotte, NC. MCA Verify handles underwriting for merchant cash advance; Bee Pay handles escrow and payment servicing for performance-based consumer services.
Is Bee Pay the same as Payment Automation Network?
Yes. Bee Pay is the new name for Payment Automation Network, Inc. (PAN). Same company, same team, same escrow and payment servicing. If a CRM’s documentation still refers to Payment Automation Network or PAN, that is Bee Pay.
Why do these businesses need escrow at all?
The FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule (16 CFR 310.4(a)(5)) and the Credit Repair Organizations Act bar these providers from collecting a fee until the work is complete, and require customer funds to sit in a dedicated account the provider does not own or control. A standard merchant account does not satisfy that, however compliant the processor is.
